Cathy has been doing instrument repair work for 30 years. The reason that Curriers is still in business after 37 years, is because of their dedication to personal customer service. Service is the foundation to making and keeping happy and satisfied customers. So feel free to come in and talk to Cathy about your instrument. Curriers Music World repair department specializes in Band Instrument repair and String Instrument repair. The repair shop has been a part of Curriers Music World since 1977. | It's important to know who you are dealing with when you leave your cherished instrument to be repaired. Cathy Currier graduated in 1977 with honors from Western Iowa Tech with a technical degree in Band Instrument repair. She earned her associate degree from Eastern Kentucky University in wood technology. Cathy is also a member of the Guild of American Luther's and the Association of String Instrument Artisans. Over the years Cathy has learned instrument repair along with instrument building from the finest craftspeople in the business. In 1987 Cathy spent the summer working for Taylor Guitars and had the opportunity to build her own guitar. This experience was very instrumental to helping her become a more skillful guitar tech. In 1989 Cathy studied Mandolin building with John Monteleone in Long Island New York, where she built a carved A style Mandolin. |
