Ken HolbrookTeaches : Mandolin, Violin, Fiddle, Dobro and Banjo Price: $14.00 per 1/2 Hour Lesson WWW.KENHOLBROOK.COM As a teacher over the last 20 years, Mr. Holbrook has taught over 1500 students. Ken's educational background includes 3 years at the University of Kentucky and 1 year at South Plains Collage in Levelland, Texas. Ken's education was funded by academic or music scholarships. Ken also took banjo lesson for 8 years under the renowned banjo teacher and performer, Dr. Tim Lake. Ken's many years of performing all across the US in a host of very diverse musical situations have given him a solid handle on various musical styles, including bluegrass, rock and classical. |
John McQueenTeaches : Acoustic and Electric Guitar Price: $48.00 per month for weekly 1/2 Hour Lesson John has been playing guitar for 24 years. The teaching method he uses is a "nuts and bolts" approach to music theory geared towards original music composition and song structure. Johns musical preference is folk, classical and celtic/world music. Students will learn functional scale and chord theory along with written music consisting of classical and folk. John's teaching theme is artistic expression with guitar. |
Sam KruerTeaches : Acoustic Up Right Bass and Electric Bass Price: $10.50 per 1/2 Hour Lesson Sam has been playing bass for 7 years and teaching for 3 years. Sam is a music education major at Eastern Kentucky University. Sam has played in several different ensembles including jazz, symphony orchestra and string orchestra. Sam's main musical influences include Ray Brown and Charles Mingus. |

Grover FarrTeaches : Piano, Keyboards and Voice Price: $48.00 per 1/2 Hour Lesson / $72.00 per 3/4 Hour Lesson and $96.00 per 1 Hour Lesson Mr. Farr has been teaching piano, keyboards and voice since the 70's. He has a BA from Bera Collage and a MA from Eastern Kentucky University. Grover teaches both beginning and more advanced students. He welcomes both children and adults. |
